If you are new to web design or new to using Java (TM) applets, check
out the documentation supplied with each applet, or consult
our beginners guide for more
information on getting started.
Java (TM)
and the Apple Macintosh O.S.
The Java (TM) Virtual Machines on the Mac Operating System can
have problems with the Java (TM) event model, in particular with
mouse events. All Java (TM) products and downloads from
JObjects.net use the Java (TM) event model. If you run an
Apple Mac and you are having problems with Java (TM) applets there is a plug-in that can
be applied called the "MRJ-MacOS Runtime for Java (TM) plugin",
which can found at :
http://www.mozilla.org/oji/MRJPlugin.html
Wrong
Version of the JRE ?
If Java (TM)
applets do not work on your machine or with your
browser, it may be that you have a wrong version of the Java (TM)
Runtime Environment (JRE). The current version is
version 1.4.1 of Java (TM)2, though most applets written by us are
for version 1.1 of Java (TM)2 for maximum compatibility
across different platforms. To upgrade to the latest version
of the JRE go here and click on the "get it now" button :
http://www.Java (TM).com

You may also want to consider upgrading to the latest version
of your browser, as this can solve many problems.
Problems with Sound ?
Some older browsers and operating systems
may not play certain sound formats. To ensure ALL your
visitors can hear the sounds in your applets, convert your
sound file to the following format : 8 bit u-law 8000hz one
channel .au Sun format. A product such as SoundForge by
Sonic Foundary will do this.
